Jamie was back today with his “Thank you for the music” show. We also welcomed psychologists Andrew and Adam and trainee Lola, from Oxleas, the local Memory Service, who came along to speak to carers about their experience of the Memory Sevice and what they felt was missing.

Jamie, as we have come to expect was not put off by the heat and was still the man of many outfits. How he managed the outfit changes so quickly in the heat, I do not know.

Julie was back to run Fit for Life workshops again. Today the workshops focused mainly on hand strength and flexibility exercises. It was great to see the members joining in and the workshops running at full capacity.

Due to the heat, sit down activities were more popular today and the number playing Herd Mentality was higher than what we would normally encourage. Team member Paola rose to the challenge and managed to ensure everyone had a chance to participate.

In spite of the heat, there was more dancing than there had been at the last few sessions. Fortunately, the way Jamie’s shows are run there is plenty of time for a breather. It was wonderful to see so many people at the group. We appreciate them coming out on a hot day.
The Reflections Friendship Group is next at Shrewsbury House on 21st July 2026 at 1pm when Tony will help us celebrate Reflections 10th Birthday.

Please note: in our uploaded photos we blur the faces of all group members. You do see the faces of our wonderful volunteers.
